Hello, hello!
I am so glad I (finally) brought this newsletter to the world.
It is clear to me now that I was keeping it in “a perfect world of ideas”, which is a safe space. A place free of judgement, free of mistakes, free of risks. In other words, a place that doesn’t really exist.
The support I have received from friends and students (You all know who you are, thank you! ♥️) has made a huge difference. So, here, YOU have my support: do not keep your English in a perfect space, or a safe space, or especially in an imaginary space. Go use your English! Even if there is judgement, mistakes and risks.
Bring it to the world!
You have MY support!

Quer ver? Basquetebol, volleybol, video, audio, clipe, coquetel, estande, estress, handebol, mocassim, poquer, pudim, sanduíche, surfe, esnobe, tênis, nocaute, futebol, foto, gol, e tantas outras. Nunca é do zero de verdade!

A lesson
This week, I had a few conversations about PUNS. They reminded me how difficult it is to understand JOKES. This happens because we need to know the language very well and sometimes, the culture too.
Do you get it? Pear is the fruit and it sounds like pair (two). The picture above shows us a pair or pears.
Here is a quick lesson that shows you some puns:
And here is an expression: The joke is on you!
A question
Answer: What is the funniest joke you’ve ever heard?
(Qual foi a piada mais engraçada que você já ouviu?)
Would you like to try to tell it in English? (Feel free to use the comments)

Não conhecia o termo puns. Obrigada por compartilhar
I love it. Now here will be my new space of comfort and decompression. s2
